The primary objective of this Automated Equipment Monitoring System is to facilitate the easy tracking of school equipment. Often, items accessible to multiple users are prone to loss due to inadequate monitoring. This system provides an efficient solution to monitor the items effectively, particularly in educational institutions with multiple rooms. It enables users to identify damaged, lost, or items under maintenance, and also offers the option to generate printed copies of item records. To expedite the process and ensure accuracy, a barcode scanner is integrated into the system.

How to Run the System:

Requirements:

• Latest version of XAMPP
• mysql-connector-net-6.4.4.msi
• mysql-connector-odbc-5.1.9-win32.msi
• Microsoft Visual Studio 2015

Setup/Installation:

1. Download and extract the provided source code zip file (located below the download button).
2. Launch XAMPP's Control Panel and start Apache and MySQL services.
3. Open your web browser and access PHPMyAdmin (e.g.,

4. Create a new database named "schoolequipmentdb".
5. Import the included SQL file (schoolequipmentdb.sql) from the extracted source code folder.
6. Locate the project's solution file (SEMS.sln) in the extracted source code folder.
7. Open the solution file using Microsoft Visual Studio Software.
8. Press the F5 key on your keyboard to run the School Equipment Monitoring System with Barcode.
