Easy Configuration

Starting with NPlusMiner is a breeze. Just follow these two simple steps:

  1. Run NPlusMiner.
  2. Enter your BTC address and click on "Save Config."
  3. Press "Start."

NPlusMiner utilizes advanced data analysis to guide optimal mining decisions. The core component, "BrainPlus," processes calculations to assess not only prices but also algorithm performance and orphan rates.

GUI Features

With version 2.0 and above, NPlusMiner features an intuitive GUI that simplifies configuration and operation. It uses configuration files, eliminating the need to edit batch files. Simply run NPlusMiner, input your wallet address, and click "Start." For users who prefer console commands, you can run NPlusMiner-ConsoleUp.

AutoUpdate

Since version 4.0, NPlusMiner includes an AutoUpdate feature to ensure the software stays up-to-date.

Auto Ban Miners

NPlusMiner can automatically ignore miners that fail on certain systems after a count of failures. The default value for maximum failures is set to 3, which can be modified in Config.json. The autoban feature is session-based; NPlusMiner will attempt to re-run the miner upon restart.

Pause Mining

You have the option to pause miners while allowing other jobs to continue running. The pause functionality will halt mining activities, but "BrainPlus" and "EarningTracker" will still operate in the background, maintaining learning phases for easy resume.

Prerun Functionality

NPlusMiner can execute a batch file before switching to a specific algorithm. This can be useful for setting per-algorithm overclocks via nvidiaInspector. Create a file named <AlgoName>.bat in the /prerun folder. If the specific file is missing, it will attempt to launch prerun/default.bat.

Advanced Pool Configuration

This feature is intended for advanced users only. You can specify options for individual pools. For example, you can mine NiceHash using the internal wallet while mining other pools with a valid wallet. An example configuration is available in Config\PoolsConfig-NHInternal.json.

Available Options:

  • Wallet: your wallet address.
  • UserName: your MPH username.
  • WorkerName: your worker name.
  • PricePenaltyFactor: applies a penalty to estimations from the pool.

Usage

  • Modify Config\PoolsConfig.json for per-pool configurations. If a pool is listed, the specific settings will be applied; otherwise, default settings will be utilized.
  • Do not delete the default entry; make modifications only within designated areas.
  • Note: The GUI only updates the default entry; other changes must be performed manually.

PricePenaltyFactor

When using advanced per-pool settings, you can apply a penalty factor for specific pools, affecting the estimations based on pool performance.

Example Scenario:

  • For NiceHash with a 4% fee, set PricePenaltyFactor to 0.96 (1-0.04).
  • If a pool is overestimating by 10%, set PricePenaltyFactor to 0.9.

BrainPlus

BrainPlus utilizes AI calculations based on current estimates and 24-hour actual prices from pools like ahashpool. It includes a trust index to improve profitability while being less sensitive to price spikes, resulting in reduced switching frequency compared to following current estimates.

Pool Variants

  • 24hr Mode: Requests profit data based on the last 24 hours (low switching rate).
  • Plus Mode: Utilizes advanced calculations for maximum profit (best switching rate).
  • Normal Mode: Relies on current estimates for profit requests (higher switching rate).

Fee Distribution Transparency

NPlusMiner has a daily fee of 1% (16 minutes). The fee distribution to developers and contributors is done randomly, with details available

NPlusMiner collects only mining-related information while ensuring personal data remains confidential.

Algorithm Selection

Users can use the algorithm list in the configuration file to include or exclude algorithms. The list works using a +/- system.

  • +algo: to include an algorithm.
  • -algo: to exclude an algorithm.

Do not combine + and - for the same algorithm.

Examples:

  • Mine everything but x16r: Algo list = -x16r
  • Mine only x16r: Algo list = +x16r
  • Mine any available algorithm at pool: Algo list = <blank>

Earnings Tracking

Graphical displays show BTC/hour and BTC/day earnings, along with estimates for when the pool payment threshold will be reached. Supported pools include:

  • ahashpool
  • zergpool
  • zpool
  • nicehash
  • miningpoolhub (partial)
  • BlockMasters
  • ProHashing
  • Unmineable
  • 2Miners

For miners using multiple pools, statistics for all relevant pools will be displayed. Press "e" in the console window to show or hide earnings.

Support for Multiple Instances

Experimental Feature: NPlusMiner can run multiple instances on the same rig. Each instance must reside in its own directory, and the miner needs to be started before launching the next instance.

Optional Miners

Some miners are not enabled by default for various reasons. An "OptionalMiners" folder contains .ps1 files for specific miners. Advanced users can refer to OptionalMiners\Readme.txt for usage instructions.

Algo Switching Log

A simple algo switching log is maintained in the CSV file located in the Logs folder, allowing you to track switching rates.

Console Display Options

Adjust the console display style using:

  • -UIStyle Light: default option to show only currently mining info.
  • -UIStyle Full: to view all usual display information.

Toggle Display:

  • Press "s" to switch between light and full display.
  • Press "e" to show/hide earnings in the current session.
