Hello everyone!

Today, I’m excited to guide you through the process of compiling the EnhanceMT server sources on a Windows platform. Make sure to read every step carefully. 🙂

1. Required Software

Before we start, here’s a list of software you’ll need:

2. Obtaining the Sources

First, create a new directory where you intend to check out the project sources. Then, launch "Git Bash."

A terminal will open, and you’ll need to navigate to the newly created directory using the cd command. A quick method to do this is by typing cd (remember to include a space) and then dragging the folder into the terminal. This will automatically insert the folder path.

Press "Enter" once you’ve done this.

Next, enter the following command to check out the sources from our repository (please ensure you register at this link:

3. Configuring the Solution with CMake

Now, open CMake and specify the path to your source code (select the Server folder) and set the "Where to build the binaries" to the "Server/build" folder:

CMake Configuration

Click on "Configure" and select your compiler (Visual Studio (Express) 2013), then click "Finish":

CMake Finish

Finally, click "Generate" to build the solution and ensure that there are no compilation errors:

CMake Generate

4. Building the Solution!

You will find the Visual Studio solution file in the "Server/build" directory. Open "enhanceMT.sln" using Visual Studio (Express) 2013:

Visual Studio Solution

In the menu, select "Release" mode and navigate to "Build -> Build Solution" (or simply press F7).

Once the build process completes, you'll find the "db.exe" and "game.exe" executables in the "Server/build/bin/Release" folder.

Remember, EnhanceMT is an open-source project that thrives on community contributions, so feel free to get involved!
