Motivated by the active interest in the community, I decided to create a Virtual Disk Image (VDI) containing the latest version of FreeBSD, specifically 14.1, along with all essential packages to kickstart a server and compile source code efficiently.

Access Credentials

You will need these credentials to establish SSH access to the virtual machine.

The user metin2dev is part of the wheel group. If you enter su in the console and provide the password metin2dev, you will gain root privileges.

Note: This configuration carries substantial security risks.

Alternative User Access

To allow the user metin2dev to execute commands with elevated rights, you can add the following line in the visudo file:

Configuring SSL

This virtual machine is pre-configured with SSL, utilizing a subdomain and my email. To enable HTTPS functionality, you're required to input your domain or subdomain details. Before executing the commands below, ensure you have a valid domain:

Next, edit the following configuration files with your specific data:

After configuration, make sure to access your virtual machine's IP address, like this: http://<your_virtual_machine's_IP> once the VDI image is booted.

Source Utilization

The setup is based on the reference server file, client, and source code with support for multiple languages. The content is intended for educational purposes only and shouldn't be used for other intentions.

Conclusion

The game server is currently in the process of starting up, and I have verified the configuration of each channel individually. If there is sufficient interest and demand to further develop this initiative, I am willing to keep this virtual machine running and offer SSH access upon request.
