The PHP News Management System is a basic CRUD mini project developed using PDO (PHP data object) in an OOP style. The project includes only the admin section, where users can create, read, update, and delete news information and categories. This project serves as a convenient method for any news portal to store records of their existing news.

This News Management System is built using PHP, Javascript, and CSS. The admin login is required to access the system. From the admin section, all published news records can be viewed, edited, or deleted as per the user's requirements. The project's design is straightforward to ensure users do not encounter any difficulties while working with it.

To run the project, a virtual server (i.e., XAMPP) must be installed on your PC (for Windows). The News Management System's source code is available for free download and should only be used for educational purposes.

After starting Apache and MySQL in XAMPP, follow the steps below to run the project:

  1. Extract the downloaded file
  2. Copy the main project folder
  3. Paste it into xampp/htdocs/
  4. Open a browser and navigate to "

    "
  5. Click on the databases tab
  6. Create a database named "news_mgmt" and click on the import tab
  7. Browse for the "news_mgmt.sql" file located in the "DB" folder and select it
  8. Click on go

After creating the database, follow these final steps:

  1. Open a browser and go to the URL "
